Sales Team Leader

Manchester

We're supporting a fast‑growing, forward‑thinking student living brand as they build out a brand‑new sales function - and they're looking for a high‑energy Sales Team Leader to help shape it from day one.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who's been performing well in a sales environment and is ready to step into leadership. You might come from telesales, lettings, membership sales, call centres, co‑working, PBSA, hospitality or any fast‑paced, phone‑based sales role. If you love motivating people, driving performance and keeping energy high, this could be the perfect next step. The industry is growing quickly, the team is growing with it, and you'll be joining at a genuinely exciting time.

About the company

Our client is redefining what modern student living looks like. They're creative, people‑focused and growing fast, with new sites launching and a big commercial journey ahead. It's a great environment for someone who wants to be part of something evolving, positive and ambitious.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading a team of three Sales Executives, keeping energy high and performance sharp
  • Driving occupancy, revenue and conversion across all sales activity
  • Coaching, motivating and developing the team day‑to‑day
  • Owning pipeline management, lead allocation and follow‑up standards
  • Jumping on calls yourself when needed - leading by example and showing the team how it's done
  • Spotting performance gaps early and taking action quickly
  • Working closely with Operations and Marketing to align offers, availability and campaigns
  • Ensuring CRM discipline, accurate reporting and clean data
  • Supporting forecasting, weekly reporting and performance insight
  • Keeping the customer experience front and centre in every interaction

What we're looking for

  • A strong background in sales - phone‑based experience is ideal
  • Some leadership, mentoring or supervisory experience (formal or informal)
  • Confident communicator who can motivate and influence
  • Someone who loves pace, targets and accountability
  • Strong understanding of pipelines, follow‑up and conversion
  • Highly organised, proactive and comfortable owning performance
  • A positive, kind, forward‑thinking approach that fits the culture

What's in it for you

  • A basic salary up to £35,000
  • A brand‑new role where you can genuinely make your mark
  • The chance to build and shape a high‑performing sales team
  • A supportive, ambitious culture that values ideas, ownership and growth
  • Real progression opportunities as the business continues to expand
  • Being part of a company that's doing something fresh and exciting in the sector
