In the age of the 'staycation', holiday parks are fast becoming a popular choice for leisure seekers. You don't have to travel far these days for a life of luxury! Park Leisure’s vision is to offer 5-star, award winning holiday parks, first class service and luxury holiday homes for every budget.
With ten award-winning holiday parks in the UK, the Park Leisure team were keen to centralise the initial sales function at their Head Office and ensure a consistent customer journey for holidaymakers and weekend breakers.
We really needed to get immersed in the operations of Park Leisure, to understand the benefits of rolling out a centralised function that could support the existing sales team.
Park leisure were adamant they would recruit the sales manager first, followed by a sales force. So, our focus was to headhunt a proven sales professional to build a team within the first quarter.
Not only did we need to get to grips with Head Office operations, we also needed to understand the culture of their parks, to ensure that our sales recruits would reflect the passion of the brand.
As this was a brand-new department, we knew a creative approach was required. So, we held a brainstorming session with the senior team at Park Leisure to truly understand the scope of this campaign and the ambitions of the business.
We analysed the project implications and devised a desired skill set for the ideal Sales Manager that would ultimately ensure the success of the department.
We devised a search campaign to attract sales professionals that understood the financial focus of the role and had a clear vision of the customer experience. We weren't just looking for a salesperson. We wanted a driven hospitality sales leader.
A dedicated and driven Sales Manager, plus a passionate sales team were successfully placed within the agreed timescales.
The key result areas we'd mapped out were delivered and a uniform customer journey was established, resulting in excellent customer experience scores.
