Are you an ambitious and commercially minded sales professional looking to make a big impact?

We're looking for a driven Sales Development Representative to join a fast-growing packaging business. In this role, you'll focus on generating new business opportunities, winning new accounts, and developing long-term relationships with existing customers across our innovative product range.

About the Role

As a key part of our commercial growth strategy, you will be responsible for building market presence, securing new client wins, and increasing revenue from existing accounts. Reporting directly to a supportive senior management team, you'll work alongside external marketing partners while taking hands-on responsibility for outbound sales, lead generation, and customer development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, research, and proactively approach new B2B clients through outbound calls, email campaigns, networking, and online channels.

  • Manage and grow a pipeline of prospects, following up on leads and converting opportunities into new accounts.

  • Develop strong, long-term relationships with existing and lapsed customers, driving account growth through upselling and cross-selling.

  • Collaborate with marketing partners to support lead generation campaigns and ensure alignment between sales and marketing activity.

  • Analyse competitor activity and market trends to continually refine sales strategies.

  • Deliver regular performance reports on pipeline, conversion, and account development.

  • Represent the business with professionalism, delivering excellent client communication and customer service.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Proven track record in B2B sales, business development, or account management (manufacturing, packaging, or product-led sectors a plus, but not essential).

  • Confident communicator with excellent relationship-building skills.

  • Highly proactive and organised, with experience in prospecting, lead generation, and CRM systems.

  • Commercially minded, target-driven, and motivated by achieving results.

  • Able to work independently while being a strong team player.

Key Metrics for Success

  • New account wins and increased customer acquisition.

  • Consistent outreach and lead generation activity each week.

  • Growth of revenue within existing and lapsed accounts.

  • Achievement of annual sales growth and conversion KPIs.

Working Hours & Location

  • Full-Time: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

  • Office based in Altrincham, with local client visits.

  • Competitive salary dependent on experience, plus performance incentives.
