Senior Commercial Insurance Broker | North Manchester | Up to £55,000

Having been established for over 40 years, the group has recently acquired a number of other brokerages, bringing together a collection of reputable brands into the network, and their continued growth means they are now looking for a new Senior Commercial Broker to join their North Manchester office as part of the wider senior team.

The Role

As a Senior Commercial Insurance Broker, you will be helping to drive the business forward by maintaining an existing portfolio of clients as well as developing new clients. You responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with a team of Account Handlers, you will be providing tailored insurance solutions across a range of commercial lines
  • Managing an existing portfolio of loyal, long-standing customers in addition to identifying new business opportunities through networking, prospecting, introducers and marketing
  • Understanding your clients business operations, risk factors and opportunities, you'll be building trusted, lasting client relationships
  • Dealing with the selling, processing and administration of new contracts, renewals and MTA's, and identifying opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling within your client base
  • Liaising and negotiating with underwriters to identify the most suitable insurance products for your clients.
  • Working closely with Directors to drive profitability within the branch, ensuring all recommendations are aligned to the client's needs.
  • Supporting team members to help develop their knowledge and skills
  • Handling day-to-day queries and enquiries from both clients and insurers.

About You

  • Proven experience as a Commercial Insurance Broker as either a Senior Broker, Broking Manager, Branch Manager or Account Executive - essential.
  • Ideally, you have an existing client base to bring with you to help grow the book of business
  • Excellent knowledge of multiple commercial insurance products and services.
  • Experience with Acturis is preferable.
  • CII qualification is desirable.
  • Confident communicator.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong PC skills
