Due to huge investment and ongoing expansion and an opportunity has arisen for a proven hands-on Production Leader to join an established manufacturer who are experiencing incredible growth. Based out of their Head Office the ideal Production Manager will lead a production team to effectively increase production volumes by 40% to 60%.

UPVC Production Supervisor responsibilities:
* Visibly be seen to champion production on site and support continuous improvement.
* Manage all production resource to ensure efficient production activities; whilst maintaining all Health, Safety and Environmental compliance requirements and meeting product and process quality specifications
* Support the site to ensure all products produced are right first time in line with customer expectations.
* To ensure that all routine production tasks and objectives are undertaken and completed within agreed time frames.
* Plan and organise work flows.
* Oversee and manage production team labour budget.
* Accountable for equipment effectiveness, root cause problem solving, rapid improvement events.
* Ensure any non-conforming products are rectified in a timely and efficient way.
* Maintain high levels of house keeping at all time within the shop floor.
* Carry out performance reviews for Shift Managers and foster a positive team spirit within the production unit and cross functionally
* Recruit, train, coach and develop a multi skilled production team to fabricate uPVC products.
* Maintain all KPI departmental information and endorse best practice principles in the workplace to achieve output targets.

The working week is 7.30am to 4.30pm

UPVC Production Supervisor profile:

As the Production Supervisor you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

* A successful career as a Production Manager within a high volume production environment.
* Excellent knowledge of lean Six Sigma practices.
* Effective leadership of medium teams.
* Thorough knowledge of IT systems with sound skills in Excel & Word & PowerPoint packages.
* Ideally already trained to IOSH Managing Safely - Previous experience of carrying out risk assessments in the workplace and documenting safe working procedures.
* Maintain ISO accreditation.
* Experience in change management and working in a lean manufacturing environment.
* HNC/HND or above in an Engineering discipline
