Corporate Compliance Manager

We are looking for an experienced Compliance Manager to join our client's team. A new role within the business reporting directly to the Board, you will be responsible for ensuring that the business meets its regulatory and legislative obligations.

You will have responsibility for keeping the legal and ethical integrity of the company intact through policy enforcement and program planning.

The ideal Compliance Manager will have the following Responsibilities:

*Establish strategies, policies and procedures to make sure the business is compliant with corporate and industry regulations, legislation and best practice
*Ensure all departments are complying with the rules and regulations that the company upholds
*Oversee and manage compliance across all departments from HR, Finance and Commercial teams to Lettings, Property Management and Building Management
*Responsible for creating and enforcing plans of action related to ethical and legal behaviour within the company; Identify where issues with legality and ethics are taking place, and fix them quickly and effectively
*Protect the interests of the business and investors by providing legal guidance, corporate governance and advice on compliance matters to the Board and to the management team
*Work closely with the manager of each department on compliance matters within their department, providing advice, guidance and support
*Ensure strategies are in place to deal with compliance problems when they occur before the reputation and integrity of the company and its employees are jeopardized
*Monitor, report and audit compliance levels of the business, providing reports to the Board on measures in place, issues identified and remedial actions required
*Keep up to date with the changing laws that affect the corporate world and prepare reports for the Board detailing these laws and how the company is following them; Keep up to date with regulatory and legislative changes within the property industry
*Inspire and lead a culture of compliance across the business and drive a commercially compliant mindset; Produce training materials and share best practices throughout the business
*As well as overseeing compliance generally across all departments, you will have ownership of implementing policies and procedures at a corporate level, including GDPR
*Create and maintain a compliance framework, plan and methodology in a way that is commercially minded and values focused
*Conduct scheduled periodical audits across all areas taking actions to improve processes where necessary; Maintain records of compliance practices and file documentation with relevant bodies

You will have:

*Experience in regulated environments/compliance role
*Experience in residential lettings and property management preferred - IRPM Qualification Desirable
*Ability to work collaboratively and cross functionally
*Highly motivated and passionate
