Assistant Build & Project Co-Ordinator

An exciting opportunity for the ideal Assistant Build Administrator to join a rapidly expanding company. Our Client is looking for an Assistant Build Administrator who ideally have experience within the building or construction industry or a role which entails the ordering of building products. This brand is undergoing a rapid expansion and boasts a fantastic culture and ethos with real progression opportunities for a driven and hardworking individual.

Our client is one of the country's leading restaurant, design and build company based in the North West who work with some of the leading hospitality brands across the UK. They have specialist divisions providing bespoke design and interior refurbishment for bars & counters, furniture & fittings, right through to commercial kitchens.

As well as being a friendly character that people naturally resonate towards, the role would suit someone who is highly organised and able to work as part of a team. The successful applicant needs to be reliable, already have experience in a similar role or have knowledge of the building trade and products associated with.


* Be responsible for ordering building materials
* Take off and Schedule materials from drawings and specifications
* Raise tenders for materials orders.
* Collate quotes, analyse & negotiate with suppliers
* Raising and issuing of purchase orders
* Confirming delivering times with suppliers for all purchase orders
* Check invoices
* Resolve invoice queries
* Assist the Purchasing Manager and MD where necessary
* Collating the O&M Manuals
* Establish excellent working relationships with suppliers, site teams and contracts management
* Project stage payments

Qualifications & Experience

* 2+ years' experience in a Buying role within the construction sector (preferable) ideally commercial building
* Experience of procuring materials especially building material suppliers, sub-contracts and plant hire (preferable)
* Computer literate / Microsoft Office in particular Excel
* Experience in using Sage would be an advantage
* Highly numerate with efficient administration
