Purchasing Assistant - Trade

An exciting opportunity for the ideal Purchasing Assistant / Procurement Assistant / Buying Assistant to join a rapidly expanding company.

If you have purchasing experience in the building or construction industry or a role which entails the ordering of building products, then this could be the opportunity for you!

Our client is one of the country's leading restaurant, design and build companies based in the North West. They have specialist divisions providing bespoke design and interior refurbishment for bars & counters, furniture & fittings, right through to commercial kitchens.

Duties to include (but not limited to):

* Dealing with Site Managers and Contracts Managers daily, placing orders for suppliers and sub-contractors as required.
* Liaising with suppliers to ensure best costs paid for materials.
* Raising sales orders and sales invoices for Build projects as required
* Ensuring all systems are kept up to date
* Signing off invoices and credit notes as required
* Compiling O&M manuals at the end of projects
* General admin duties

The Person:

* A hard working, positive personality
* Some experience as a Purchasing Assistant / Procurement Assistant / Buying Assistant or similar role
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
* Excellent organisational and management
* Familiarity with office management procedures and basic accounting principles preferable but not essential
* Excellent knowledge of MS Office, Word, Excel
