Production Maintenance Engineer

Due to huge investment and ongoing expansion and an opportunity has arisen for a proven Production Maintenance Engineer to join a company who are experiencing incredible growth. Based out of their Head Office in Blackburn, the ideal production engineer will lead in the delivery of both planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks whilst successfully leading a shift.


As a Production Maintenance Engineer you will be comfortable with Fault Analysis, basic Electrical Maintenance, breakdowns and repairs.
Assist in production team supervision in absence of the production manager.
Carry out regular safety and functional inspection of the organisations plant and equipment whilst managing external contractor support.

Production Maintenance Engineer Person Specification:
- A multi skilled technician with previous experience in general repairs and maintenance roles.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- A working knowledge of HSE regulations governing maintenance activities
- Ability to liaise with contractors and suppliers
- Good problem-solving skills
- Customer Services skills with 'here to help you' attitude - willing to take on additional tasks outside of job scope, as required.
- Self-motivated
- Proven team player
- Systematic approach to record keeping and fault finding
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Racking inspection licence (preference not essential)
- Counterbalance licence (preference not essential)
- Reach truck licence (preference not essential)

The working week is 40 hours per week across split shifts either 6am - 2.00pm or 2pm - 10.00pm

Production Maintenance Engineer Qualifications and experience:

Time served and/ or relevant engineering qualifications
Electrical qualification (preference not essential)
