Electrical / Electronic Control Design Engineer Role:
The ideal engineer would be comfortable integrating electrical and PLC logic or ladder systems with computer, motor and software platforms.
Electrical / Electronic Control Design Engineer Typical tasks include:
Design electrical and control systems.
Produce electrical schematics, circuit layouts, test documentation for production and Technical Files
Work with the Technical Manager and the Operations Manager in developing prototype and production 1st off runs.
Collect and analyse data from test results.
Develop and document PLC programs which operate and control switches, relays, motors, deck belts, reject arms for weighing, filling, waste and metal detector systems.
Produce technical specifications and documentation for product technical files and marketing.
Electrical / Electronic Control Design Engineer Essential requirements:
At least Five years Electrical / Electronic Control Design experience.
Produce electrical / electronic control system documentation i.e., schematics, circuit layouts, specifications and technical information.
Support customers and our service team on legacy products within the field
Analytical, and problem-solving skills
A person who has the drive, determination, and passion to develop new products, systems and controls for the next generation of check weighers, filling, metal detector and waste compliant products and systems.
Electrical / Electronic Control Design Engineer Desirable requirements:
Knowledge within weighing, filling, waste, meatal detector, or process control environments would be advantageous.
Experience in PLC programming and ability to interface between electrical, mechanical and software
applications and equipment.
Knowledge of industrial communications e.g., RS232, RS485, Ethernet etc.
Qualifications:
Degree / HND / HNC Electrical Engineering is desirable , however - consideration will be given to an applicant who has practical hands-on electrical / electronic control system design industry experience.
Salary
£25,000 to £35,000 depending on experience + benefits + unrivalled career progression
