Purchasing Assistant - Bars And Kitchens

An exciting opportunity for the ideal Purchasing Assistant / Procurement Assistant / Buying Assistant to join a rapidly expanding company. Our Client is looking for Purchasing Assistant / Procurement Assistant / Buying Assistant who ideally have experience within bars and/or kitchens, alternatively the building or construction industry or a role which entails the ordering of building products. You could have experience as a: Purchasing Assistant / Procurement Assistant / Buying Assistant, as long as you have product knowledge of general building materials then we'd love to speak to you. This brand is undergoing a rapid expansion and boasts a fantastic culture and ethos with real progression opportunities for a driven and hardworking individual.

Our client is one of the country's leading restaurant, design and build company based in the North West who work with some of the leading hospitality brands across the UK. They have specialist divisions providing bespoke design and interior refurbishment for bars & counters, furniture & fittings, right through to commercial kitchens.

As well as being a friendly character that people naturally resonate towards, the role would suit someone who is highly organised and able to work as part of a team. The successful applicant needs to be reliable, already have experience in a similar role or have knowledge of the building trade and products associated with.

Duties to include (but not limited to):

* Dealing with Site Managers and Contracts Managers daily, placing orders for suppliers and sub-contractors as required.
* Liaising with suppliers to ensure best costs paid for materials.
* Raising sales orders and sales invoices for Build projects as required
* Ensuring all systems are kept up to date
* Signing off invoices and credit notes as required
* Compiling O&M manuals at the end of projects
* General admin duties

The Person:

* A hard working, positive personality
* Some experience as a Purchasing Assistant / Procurement Assistant / Buying Assistant or similar role
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
* Excellent organisational and management
* Familiarity with office management procedures and basic accounting principles preferable but not essential
* Excellent knowledge of MS Office, Word, Excel etc
