Analysts react well to firm's reluctance to discount at the expense of margins. H&M said year-on-year sales for July fell 3 per cent. Total sales, which include sales in new stores, rose 7 per cent, compared with a 4 per cent increase in June and flat sales in May. H&M reports only percentage changes for its monthly sales. The number of stores amounted to 1,828 on 31 July 2009, compared to 1,601 on 31 July 2008. Share this article
